Moving to Spain? We put everything in order for you
Residence, NIE, padrón registration, Social Security, taxes and, if you wish, your company. We advise you and handle each step with a single point of contact, so you arrive with everything settled and no surprises from the Spanish Tax Agency.
If you are from the European Union
Estonia, Ireland and the rest of the EU, the European Economic Area and Switzerland: you can live and work in Spain without a visa. These are your steps.
Registration certificate and NIE
If you plan to stay for more than three months, you register with the Registro Central de Extranjeros (Central Register of Foreigners) and receive your foreigner identity number (NIE). No visa or work permit is needed.
Padrón registration
Registering on the padrón (town hall register) where you live. You are asked for it for almost everything, from healthcare to school.
Social Security and healthcare
Your Seguridad Social (Social Security) number, registration as an employee or as self-employed, and access to public healthcare or private insurance.
If you come from outside the European Union
The United Kingdom since Brexit, and the rest of the world. We choose with you the authorisation that fits what you will do in Spain.
International telework (digital nomad)
To work remotely from Spain for companies based abroad. If you are self-employed, up to 20% of your activity can be for Spanish clients. You need a degree or three years of experience, a relationship of at least three months with the company or clients, and a minimum income.
Entrepreneur residence
To set up an innovative activity, or one of special economic interest, in Spain, with a favourable report from ENISA (Spain's national innovation agency). It is valid for three years and can be renewed.
Work and highly qualified professionals
If you are hired by a Spanish company or for a qualified post, including transfers within the same group.
Non-lucrative residence and family
To live in Spain without working here, with sufficient financial means, and to bring your family.
The golden visa (investor residence) was abolished on 3 April 2025.
Real timelines, with no promises that depend on others
Nobody controls the authorities' timelines. What we do is start them on day one and move ahead in parallel with everything that does not depend on them.
NIE
From a few days to several weeks, depending on the city. In Madrid or Barcelona, getting an appointment can take longer. It is the first thing we process, because almost everything else depends on it.
Non-EU residence
Weeks, depending on the authorisation and on whether you apply from your country or from Spain. We give you the expected date for your case before we start.
Your company
10 days, once you have your NIE. While you wait, we get your brand, website and management system ready so no time is lost.
Your taxes on arrival
When you become tax resident
In general, when you spend more than 183 days of the year in Spain or have your centre of interests here. We plan this before you arrive, not when you file your first return.
The inpatriate regime (Beckham Law)
If you have not been resident in Spain in the previous five years, you can pay 24% on up to €600,000 of employment income (and 47% above that), in the year you arrive and the following five. Employees, remote workers, company directors, entrepreneurs and qualified professionals can apply. You apply with modelo 149 (form 149), and the deadline is short.
The tax treaty with your country
So you do not pay twice on the same income, and so you know what to declare in Spain and what in your country during the first year.
And if you are coming to set up your company
As soon as you have your NIE, we have it up and running in 10 days, all included: company, registration with every authority, brand, website, tailored management system, software and equipment in order. From €2,900 + VAT, with notary and registry fees on top. See what is included →
How we work
- Review of your case. You tell us where you are coming from, what you will do and who is coming with you, and we tell you which route suits you.
- Plan with timelines. Which documents you need, in what order and which steps are in person.
- Processing. We prepare and submit the applications, and support you at every step.
- Follow-up. Your first tax return, Social Security and, if you set up a company, its monthly management.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a visa to live in Spain if I am from Estonia or Ireland?
No. As a citizen of the European Union you can live and work in Spain freely. If you stay for more than three months, you must register with the Registro Central de Extranjeros (Central Register of Foreigners), which gives you your NIE.
What visa does a British citizen need to live in Spain?
Since Brexit, British citizens need an authorisation like any other non-EU citizen. The most common are international telework (digital nomad), entrepreneur, work and non-lucrative residence.
Does the golden visa still exist?
No. The golden visa (investor residence) for buying property or investing capital was abolished on 3 April 2025. If you want to invest and live in Spain, there are other routes today, such as entrepreneur residence.
What is the Beckham Law?
It is the special tax regime for people who move to Spain. It lets you pay 24% on up to €600,000 of employment income for six years, if you have not been resident in Spain in the previous five years. You must apply within the deadline.
Do I have to go anywhere in person?
Yes, some steps must be done in person, such as fingerprinting for the residence card or signing before a notary if you set up a company. We tell you exactly which ones, prepare the paperwork and support you throughout.
Tell us about your case
Where you are coming from, what you will do and when you want to arrive. We tell you what you need and what it would cost.
General information reviewed in October 2026, not an opinion on your case. Requirements, timelines and amounts may change; we confirm them in each file.
